Kitchen floor is lower than the room

Hello, I have a dilemma - our kitchen and dinning room is separated by a low wall. We are planning to have a bar table on it, but interesting part is, that our kitchen is a lot lower than the room (about 25 cm or 10 inch). Maybe somebody has any ideas how to use this situation in the best way? ☺ Thank you in advance!
