Front Door Style and color

After 25 years, I've decided to do some work on my home. I've replaced a black roof with these Architectual Shakewood shingles, to lighten the look of the house. I need to replace my entry door. I would like to get a door with a glass insert, but can't decide on a style, as the is an oval window above the door. I then need to choose a different door color (I was thinking slate). I would like to keep the black shutters. Ideas?

I don't think this purple will work!

I don't understand what we are voting on. Nope or it won't work? What will work? I like the door color you have and you don't need glass in a door with the window above it. That's enough natural light. Doors with glass in them are not safe or private enough for me. I also know that everyone will disagree with me.

Purple would look nice with your home, if you want a new door there is many nice panel designs you could get so you wouldn't have to worry about the issue of matching the window above your door.
