Post a picture of the doors

I am shopping for one also. I am thinking that k c's question is pertaining to the pros and cons of the different thickness of the glass.

Is it possible to just change the glass sliding doors on the shower/tub enclosure and keep the existing frame? The current enclosure has 1/4" and I want 3/8".

If the brand and model is the same possibly. But, buying the doors themselves will be just as expensive if not more so than buying the entire kit.
