I like the cabinets, but not the wall paint. It looks too yellow on my monitor.

Painted the color of the floor would be a great improvement.

Yeah leave the cabs alone until you get the money to replace, who knows by then you may not want white.

My idea is to paint walls in a light shade of gray and put hardwood floors ....

Live with it for a year before spending big bucks on changes. Gray is trending out in some areas, but gray walls are easy to repaint.

Professional paint job gets my vote if you're just not feeling the black.

Paint the walls a creamy white. Change out the pendant light and chandelier lights with ones that have color. Replace the backsplash with stainless steel subway tile. Lighting samples below:

Paint them, we did our a few years ago n they still look great. Even with grandkids around! Lol.
