Feedback on my irrigation setup.

Summer is starting and I have also started putting the irrigation pipes around. This is the setup for the potted Mandarin. I will like to have feedback from citrus ninjas of the forum.

This is connected to pipe which will water the roses too who will get watered almost everyday. Hence a on off tap!! Please don't tell me that Citrus need water like roses.

The only thing bothering me is that trunk will get splashed but I will set the water controller to morning and mid noon time so hopefully it should dry out.

Another point of concern is that it is 511 mix which drains fast. I did not use a dripper because people say that water just finds a channel and escapes leaving the whole lot dry. I am using shrubbler. Hopefully it will wet the mix better. Any feedback on this?

While we are here have a look at the plant in question, Imperial Mandarin which has woken up for good.
