I wanted to know if anyone has use brickweb by old mill brick? Does it need to be sealed?

It does not sound appealing to me. Few people want a red backsplash. I also think of brick as rustic. Perhaps you should show the kitchen.

Renee, why not do a glazed clay brick? you can get them in many sizes (2x8 or longer is better looking) and they come in an array of colors.

Renee....I have been looking at that same picture for a bit and been LOVING that brick. I have white cabinets as well and I love the warmth and little bit of rustic feeling it brings. I have marble counters and I love the mix of formal and rustic. I am searching for something similar. Have you found anything?

Old Carolina Brick Company http://www.handmadebrick.com makes handmade thin brick as well as making custom shapes and mixes. Their Savanna Grey color looks like a good color for my needs and then the mortar would be applied in somewhat of a slathered way to create the effect in the photo the op posted. Really liking the brick look but still in the indecisive stage.
