Selecting Paint Color for New Kitchen

You have all helped me so much in putting together my new kitchen. Now I would like some advice on selecting a coordinating paint color. I am attaching some colors I am considering along with pics of the walls to be painted. I am planning to paint the entryway (you can see it through the cutouts in the kitchen either BM Revere Pewter or Pashmina. Your advice would be appreciated.

    Any suggestion anyone?

I don't have an idea how wide your kitchen is and the direction of light but I'm suggesting the lightest shade of the grey (pic attached). I feel it will work well with current scheme of white cabinets and the tiles you already have.

That is actually a pale blue. I really don't like it. I am concerned because the color will need to compliment the Revere Pewter in the entryway as it is vey visible through the cutouts. The Kitchen is 18 feet long X 12 fee wide. Thanks for trying to help though.

Is one of those swatches Revere Pewter?

None of those colors are working for me, but computer screens can make it hard. I would look for something that blends with the tile but is lighter.

    Not in the kitchen.

The lower picture (looking through the doorway into the hall) the lower square swatch next to the picture is Revere Pewter. I am using this in the living room (looks more gray as it faces North. I have a sage green couch in there.

I am using Revere Pewter 1 1/2 strength in the entryway as the original formula is too washed out there as it faces south and has a large window. The Revere Pewter looks more Freire in the entryway. I am toying with the possibility of using either Chelsea Gray or Rockport Gray on the wall with the large window.

Now I have to choose a color for the kitchen that

Have you thought about a version of Revere Pewter for kitchen? How does it look next to your tile?

I really like SW Silvermist and BM Beach Glass and think they will look lovely when paired with Revere Pewter. SW Sea Salt could also look really nice.

In leaning towards Silvermist myself. My daughters really love the two deeper blues but I really think I want something softer. I don't want it to be too blue or two green though. Might do BM Pashmina in the dining room off the kitchen (can be seen from the kitchen and more so from the living room) with white picture frame molding below.

Do you thing the Silvermist reads more green or blue? I think Beach Glass is more blue.

Would you keep the window wall in the entryway the American as the other walls (Revere Pewter 1 1/2 strength or accent it with one of the deep grays?

We used BM Pashmina throughout our house and have been very happy with it. People often ask "Is this gray or tan?" and my reply is "That is exactly what I was going for."

The Van Cartland Blue is very pretty, but it may dominate the space too much depending on how large the walls are, the amount of natural lighting, etc.

Silvermist's blue or green hue really depends on the lighting. I'd suggest putting a few swatches around the kitchen to see how it looks on each wall and compare them during different times of the day.

I would stick to Revere Pewter for the entrance wall, but if you want to make it an accent I'd choose Rockport over Chelsea. I don't know how any of those would work with Pashmina though as I'm not super familiar with many of BM's colors.

One of those navy colors are the only ones I like here with your finishes. The lower navy/dark blue probably looks the best.

Flint Smoke or Silvermist are my choices.

I personally quite like this colour here! It compliments the tones of your backsplash quite well and will bring a clean, calming feel to the space overall.

Does anyone see much of a difference in undertone between the beach glass and Silvermist?

In that lighting, I'd say that Beach Glass is slightly bluer than Silvermist. I don't think you'd go wrong with either though, as both would look really nice with Revere Pewter. If you want something slightly greener check out SW Sea Salt.

What color is the blue swatch you have in this picture?

I have another question. Currently, the ceiling and window trim are a bright white. The vinyl mullions on the windows are white also. Do you think I should keep it this way or go with a softer creamier white to match the cabinets? And, if I do, will the white vinyl mullions look funny?

Sorry, I thought that picture listed the swatch color. That is SW Sea Salt, which is slightly greener that Silvermist. As for the trim, I have always preferred bright white to any other color. But it's YOUR home. As to how a creamier white trim would look against the white mullions, they'll mostly be covered with shades/blinds/curtains so I don't know that anyone would even notice. I also don't think most people expect window mullions and sash to match casing and trim throughout the rest of the house.

Thanks for your input. I tried the sea salt swatch but it is too light as the kitchen is very bright, with 3 large windows.
