Where to Hang Drapery in this 1900 Victorian

These are the living room bay windows in our new-to-us 1900 Victorian cottage. Ceilings are 11' 2", and the windows themselves are 8', centered vertically. Typically, I like my curtains hung high, an inch or so down from the crown moulding, but because this is going to be such an expensive job (15 of these windows) and I really want to showcase the ceiling height, I wanted to get some input. The drapery I have in mind is a cream/eggshell color, triple pleated, smooth finish. Hardware will probably be restoration/period style rubbed bronze. I may be putting a roman shade of some sort underneath.

As for the rest of the room, we'll be putting down a large, light colored Persian rug and the sofa will probably be swapped out for individual, antique pieces as we find them. The fan will be swapped out for a dark fixture that compliments the window hardware.

Any suggestions welcome. I can post more pictures if necessary.
