There are too many dwarf azaleas to list. Most of the hybrid forms - Kurume and Satsuki among others - will naturally stay well below 4' but any can be pruned to remain within specific height concerns.

This link would be a good place to start gathering info on any you may want to include. Few azaleas require full sun to bloom. Most are quite happy in a part shade setting or with filtered or dappled all day sun.

Exactly! I don't know where you are in coastal SC, but that whole area is overflowing with smaller azalea varieties. They all prefer to be out of the full sun.

My favorite azalea of all time is Wakaebisu, a late blooming, spreading Satsuki (or Karume, I forget). It grows wider than it does tall, so graceful. You can find such azaleas all over the Lowcountry.

I live in Z6 [Long Island, NY] and have had a small azalea 'Hino Crimson' and it's been amazing. So compact but absolutely covered with bloom in spring. I took it with me when i moved, it hasn't bloomed as much [less sun or may be adjusting to new location]. I love this plant.

Bsmith your beautiful Coral Bells azalea looks bigger than 4 feet in your photos in that other thread... is it? You may just have the perfect garden for those types of azaleas to really flourish beyond their typical size. I think Hino Crimson would grow to be about the same size as your Coral Bells. It’s very similar for me... just a lovely red instead of pink.
