Really good question! Unfortunately, this would not be able to hang 10 ft. The fixture only comes with an 8.5 ft of the wrapped cord and the manufacture does not have the ability to modify or add additional cord. If you opted to have the fixture required to meet that height requirement, it would void any warranty on the fixture from the manufacture. Let me know if you have any additional questions!
