I recently got this impatiens Congo cockatoo a couple weeks ago. I had never heard of it before, and it's my first time with impatiens. I would like to prune the talk stem in the middle of it but I'm not sure if I should be doing that soon after getting it.

Can i just go at it, or should I wait?
