My house was designed over thirty years ago. code has changed and our needs have changed
The existing staircase is rickety and needs support. staircase leads to cooldeck
I can make the staircase to code with a landing for support but it will miss the cooldeck entirely!
I can build my deck behind it with a landing where the stairs used to come down and force people to walk to the end of the deck to a different area or I have to figure out a new way to come down to the pool area.
I thought about a circular stair but it is neither comfortable nor cheap
