Just read the label and find out how many pounds per 1000 sqft to apply.

Then measure your property to determine how many sqft you need to treat.

Then weigh out the appropriate amount of product that the label says to apply, and load that amount in the spreader. Leave the rest of the product in the bag.

Put the spreader on low setting and then spread the product across the lawn until it has been distributed. If you completely cover the lawn and still hve product left in the spreader, do another pass but going perpendicular to your last oass. (If you were going North and Sourh before, go East and West the next time).

This is how you can be sure that you will over apply the product because you only put enough in the spreader to treat the lawn. The low setting makes it easier for you to spread the product evenly.
