I'd get RID of the shutters and let the light in. Then go with a seriously light paint that works with your floor.

Is there a paint color for cabinets and for walls that you would recommend??? Backsplash can change too!!!

SW 7008 Alabaster on cabinets. Could do something simple for walls like SW 7035 Aesthetic White. If you're going to do the back splash, do that first so you can use it to inform final color choices for cabinets and walls. Or you can use Antique White and Alabaster to inform the color of your back splash. Depends on how you want to work it.
