Help repotting Miltoniopsis

So my poor Miltoniopsis is is badly in need of repotting. I pulled it out of its pot to change its media and pot, and I found, this:

I didn't give it dirt, and I have bark mix and moss for it to move into. I'm not sure what all of these roots needs to go, though, or if they're okay ... I haven't pulled it apart more, yet, but all of this media will be going away.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Okay ... after some YouTube surfing (thank you Brads Greenhouse & Gardening) and general garden experience, I now have two repotted Miltoniopsis orchids (it wanted to be two plants when the media was removed).

And the two of them in new pots:

Hopefully they'll be happier now ... and I hope we did right by them.

Any tips or anything, still helpful!

Looks good! Very healthy plant. Keep them in the same light you had them in and be careful not to overwater.

Orchids can be potbound and not be bothered by it. I usually recommend repotting in Spring when the plant is initiating new growth.

You did it now, just make sure they get good, bright light.

Good job!

You have to be aware that they are narrow temperature range orchids. Not too hot and not too cold and filtered sunlight only.

Rewarding, if you can grow them! Bright light as Jane suggests.
