That is a such a great price for the variegated type too. Even if it isn't as productive, you got it for half the price of most other citrus trees! It's too bad, wish they sold some lime trees too

Looks like a nice plant! After you wipe the suspected scale, you might also spray, and quarantine it from your other plants for a few weeks.

Alrighty, what can you do when there is free shipping on orders over $35?! I almost put up a fight but one jumped into my cart along with a pig Halloween costume for my little piggy pitbull Hadley ( I had to get to $35 somehow...) I have wanted a variegated lemon for a long time but it has always been out ranked by other wishlist trees, well at $17.84 it finally finds its way into my collection. Thank you Jay for the heads up and the report/pic of the tree once you got it. I hope mine looks as good as yours. ETA of 10/11.

Kvetch, even if its a rooted cutting I assume it was taken off a mature tree so I would imagine with proper care it would fruit within the next year. Since it's 2ft-ish tall I would let it carry 1-2 fruits its first one or two fruiting years until it was good sized. But that's about the size of most of my trees I get so not much different than normal for me. I am even ok with it getting larger than normal so I have more potential for lemons. Are you tempted to get one? ;)

The tree can afford one fruit to ripen with that amount of foliage.

Ill be keeping an eye on this nursery next year. Hopefully they'll have some different varieties for sale. You cant beat free shipping, the shipping costs from other sellers is completely ridiculous.

So beautiful Evan. I love the variegated varieties too. I have the pink lemon but mine is still small. Lots of new growth again. Also variegated mineola on standard root stock and if Harris get cleared for shipping out of state, a variegated mineola on dwarfing root stock coming next spring. Next week a centenial kumquat and variegated calamondin. I would love to find other variegated citrus but unfortunately not that common to find. I saw a variegated cara and varigated valencia once. Variegated sour orange too.

I like variegated varieties also. A varigated cara, i bet it was beautiful!

My local nursery had var.meyers. Not at all tempting for me, fortunately. I would go for a pink lemon, tho. Resist!

Mmmmmm no.....as far as I know there is no such thing as a variegated Meyer lemon. Don’t be fooled by your Nursery, they’re merely selling variegated eureka lemon trees.

I have had a tough time with the variegated eureka I have had for the past 2 years or so. It was fine until last fall when I brought it inside and it dropped most of its leaves. It has not dropped or added a single leaf since then.

I am a bit nervous of the condition of my tree once it arrives. It shipped out 10/3/17 and will arrive 10/10/17, 7-8 days in a dark box sounds like that poor trees going to be in rough shape. What is the longest anyone's trees have been in transit for?
