I have fairly large clumps of Arisama consanguinea in several varieties and really drool over the wonderful leaves on them. Favorites are 'Poseidon' and 'The Perfect Wave' which both are the type with lighter central stripes in the leaves. I purchased them both from Ellen Hornig about a decade ago. Although they bloom each year, the blooms have always been exclusively female flowers on all plants.

This year Poseidon sent up 3 inflorescences at once and one of then was in male form so I now have 2 lovely cones of fat, healthy seeds which I am waiting to harvest at first frost. Although a pain, and rather slow, I have grown other Arisaema from seed and hope to get some nice ones from these.
