Thank you. Could it be the change in weather? It's been in my office all this time, but we've had a pretty quick change from summer to fall in a matter of a few days.

I think your plant is plenty healthy enough; the color looks excellent. As I see it, your plant is stretching to get to the light and the leaves are just too weak/narrow to hold themselves upright - so they fall over. Perhaps if you put it on a plant stand or table it would help. You could tie the fallen leaves up again, but if it were mine, I would just cut them off at the soil line as they fall over so all leaves appear up-right in appearance. Not to worry, the plant will grow new leaves.

My sister in law had a trifasciata in a window like this with the pot raised 2 feet or so off the floor in her house near St. Louis. Some of the leaves grew to nearly 6 feet long before the plant leaves pretty much "collapsed" when they went to Florida over the winter.

Mike, I have had excellent results tying mine up and later they strengthen up to hold themselves. Wow, the biggest mine ever got was about 50 inches.

I would go with putting it on a very sturdy stand. Then tying it up to sticks to help the leaves strengthen. Good luck. Please let us know how it turns out.

Yes Klee, you could certainly propagate leaf cuttings. Many people cut leaves into 6" long pieces and place in water or moist soil.
