So you like high maintenance difficult to care for expensive items? Your kitchen designer should be helping you with these decisions.

I have a copper farm sink and Waterstone caribbean bronze faucets. Looks great. The copper sink requires a bit of attention. I already had a copper hood so I went with the copper sink. If I didn't have the copper hood I would have went with a cream colored farm sink that matched the cabinets.

I wouldn't want anything to take attention away from the Taj Mahal. Why draw the eye away from amazing counters to a sink??

In my second home I have a antiqued copper sink that doesn't get used only a few month a year, I dry it after use(big pain) and it still looks awful. They are pretty but would never do it again. I thought I had to have it because I have a Elmira (vintage looking, like an old fashion stove) and it had copper trim on black, the copper is fine on that but sinks look awful.

The kitchen will be just as "french" with a stainless sink to last forever. What are your APPLIANCES? Lighting and hardware can add the bronze

Sinks should never be two metals. That sets up bimetallic corrosion.

The Kohler Whitehaven is cast iron if you are looking for a great apron front sink.I like French Country and while my kitchen is more French peasant, I love my Kohler Whitehaven. My last cast iron sink was still looking good after 18 years - so good I moved it the the basement kitchenette when I got the Whitehaven.
