Thank you Susanne. I think it is a very sweet tree. I just wanted one a little closer to lemon production age/size which I thought was about 3-yrs old. Maybe I am wrong, but it looks like a younger tree to me... although I know nothing about them. We put it in 5-1-1.

It looks beautiful to me. Not every tree grows the same nor every worker prunes as well as they should. Your tree will probably bloom next year, but don't expect a lot of fruit. The tree will only hold onto what it can naturally. Fertilizing every month will may get you one or two. Remove the ties that came with the tree and see if the tree can stay up on its own. If not, retie it a bit looser so the tie does not dig into the stem. Congrats on your first tree.

thanks everyone. i do have an affinity for it. i told my 8-yr old we'd grow it big and strong like we did for her!

Is there a tag on the tree indicating who the grower is? One review said Four Winds grew their tree. I went to Williams Sonoma to see what other varieties they may have. lol.

It is a nice tree with a great shape. They grow quickly with the right care. Just be patient and take good care of it and will produce fruit before you know it. Congrats!

I would guess the one in the window is a 3 year old tree; yours is not; but it still looks good. I wouldn't blame Williams Sonoma; they do not grow trees; iMHO if you paid for a 3 year old tree, you should have received a 3 year old tree. You deserve a discount and that is something that Williams Sonoma CAN do.
