i bought them all on EBay, just about, they are far from cheap. It is like 5 seeds for $10,plus shipping.

Outrageous amounts like that. From India they offer like 50-200 seeds for as little as $5, and like $8 shipping. But I dont trust shipping from India. They have odd colors to, Like lavender. The one 'major seller on EBay, you might be thinking of, i dont buy from,she sells under several names, all her seeds NEVER sprout, and now that I have told her that, she has put me on her 'dont sell to him' list. She also has a 'rare plant and seed company.

She is the only one that seems to have double whites. And she sells them for like 3 seeds for $8,plus shipping..like $5more. Then they never sprout. I have bought from her for years. They are never fresh/or germinate. So i thought I would ask if anyone grows these, and has some seeds and would sell me some, or be willing to share some with me.

After Irma, all my trees are gone! My yard is now a complete dead yard. full of stumps, and just weeds and sand. You know Fla. soil. It is all sand. So it looks like a beach now. I am trying to start over. But after 40 years of planting/care,my garden is gone, my yard/grass is dead, my trees are gone. So...I am starting over. These are at least simple and will bloom in 1 season. Unlike my blooming trees that are gone, my huge yellow Tabibuia tree, (I never spell it right), my plumerias, all gone,now just stumps. It will be years before they grow enough to even put out blooms, if I am still alive to see them. It took over 30 years to get them to the size they were, they lived through 3 major hurricanes, but Irma wiped them out. So its from scratch now....doubt I'll see much of anything grow /bloom before I'm gone. But Ill try.

I am sorry about the hurricane damage to your garden. You may be surprised at how much more quickly they grow this time. After all, they still have the large root systems underground and only need to regrow the top part. After planting they have to grow roots as well as tops.

if your talking about my yard, there is literately next to nothing left. Tree stumps will put out thin weak stems, that will never hold up to summer storms, let alone any future hurricanes. So they have to be ground down and removed. If your talking about the Clitoria seeds growing now, i dont have any to plant:)

I did. I got a few double blues. Now I am STILL looking for white or double white ones. I am growing a few double blues. BUT they wont set any seeds. They are blooming, I was hoping to get my own seeds. BUT whatever fertilizes these flowers, isnt doing it to mine. I have about 50 blooms, and not 1 single seed pod has developed in over 4 months of growing. They bloom,open,and then fall off in 2 days, and not a single pod has developed. So...I am not getting any seeds to save to grow more, or grow more later in the year. what is suppose to fertilize these blooms? Because what-ever insect it is, it isnt here in Ft.laud.

Do you use the flowers for tea? They are supposedly antimicrobial. A lot of growers use the flowers in teas and as a beverage colorant.

The vine is supposed to be self pollinating. Seed pods grow in once the blooms drop off. You have to allow the pods to ripen on the vine and harvest before the pod breaks open. Perhaps you'll see more of this in the summer. Here's a link that you may find helpful:

If not, I would suggest trying to pollinate it yourself. Get a thin, natural bristle artist brush and swirl it in the center of each bloom to transfer the pollen from flower to flower. You have nothing to lose and maybe you'll gain a few seed pods. I'd be interested to know if that will work.

i dont use it for tea. It blooms all over the place, like 9 vines, the blooms fall off after 2-3 days, and no pods develop. Now i am searching for the white ones, single and doubles, i wish i could find a US seller!!!

But so far they are only in India!!! The only grower, in Georgia, wont sell to me, she sold me like 4 crappy passion vines, they all died within days of arrival, over a period of a year, and cost a small fortune for tiny little cuttings, so I am now on her 'do not sell list'. Even for seeds. I got to find a US seller someplace.

i tried the paint brush pollinating tech. It hasnt worked. I did it on like 10 flowers, no pods even started to show. The flowers have dropped, left no pods behind,, so it didnt work. The pollen might not be ripe, but the flower only stays open 1-2 days, and then it closes up, and falls off the next day.
