Here's the dumb post of the day....

My lawn guy killed off about 90% of my yard (this was the goal) several weeks ago. Two days ago, I went out and sprayed some weed killer to get the last few remaining ones in my backyard. I asked my lawn guy to hold off on aerating, de-thatching and overseeding, fearing that the product (Spectracide) would harm the new seed. He didn't see my message soon enough, and he aerated, de-thatched and overseeded my whole lawn. Did I make a major mistake?? Or did the aerating and de-thatching render the product useless? He did this all within 24 hours of my "mistake." I did not do the entire backyard, but I did spot spray a fair amount of clover and ivy. Thanks for anyone's help in advance.
