How much sun is it getting? Are you growing it outdoors? What is your location? Mine are all outdoors, but they get varying amounts of sun, but they do well if they do not get full sun exposure.

If it is inside, it should not be getting too much sun, but you should rotate the plant if it gets direct light from a window. If it is getting too much light, only one side will be yellow. If you are in Florida, you could put it on a balcony, and it should still be okay, although I would still rotate it.

It's possible that it is not getting enough light. You did not say how much sun it is getting. How far away is it from a window? If your air is dry, it might need more moisture or humidity.

plantmamma93 - You say you are an apartment dweller and the plant lives inside. Just from looking at the potting mix I suspect it's getting too much water. Is it standing in a saucer? This is very often the main cause of plant problems when growing inside as the potting mix stays too wet and starts to sour which will eventually cause the plant to rot.

I notice also that it's in a glazed pot; although it looks very nice it's not the best choice for a bromeliad which would do better inside if grown in an unglazed terracotta pot which will allow excess moisture to evaporate through the porus terracotta. This could be stood inside another decorative pot if you like but leave an air space between the two pots.
