Espoma is what I use, great stuff. Found it last winter for 1 and 2 dollars a bag, 5-8lb. I hope I can find it again this winter for that price.

Josh, you did better than me with what i bought last year, think i ended with about 20 bags of espoma products. Josh i want go there with your other question, it has something to do with waste. They did not tell me but that is what i feel, they keep messing around with pictures down loads so i just quit.

Ok. Well if I found the 27lb bag of epsoma azalea/Holly tone for 5.96 I wouldn't pass it up, the blueberries love it. How do you store your fertilizer? I just have mine in plastic totes in the garage. Some of them have beneficial bacteria and wasn't sure how the temperature changes would/could affect it. Here's one of my treasures from last winter

Uness you are growing your citrus in the ground, there is no bargain to be found in the Espoma ferts regardless of price. Dry or granular organic fertilizers - like the Espoma products - are not the slightest bit efficient in releasing nutrients in a container situation and the product is just being wasted.

Garden Gal, it seems safe to assume Bob is growing citrus in the ground, based on his recent post. What a relief.

Oscar, Bob does not have any citrus growing in the ground, tons of Asian persimmon, figs, you name it i do have in the ground. I am in zone7A not far from the north pole. Store my bag fert's on a shelve in a well insulated garage, no heat. I am going to continue wasting my money on that stuff till doomsday.

Bob, you do understand why dry organics do not work in a container growing situation? I would think you would want to maximize your plants' performance rather than to save a few bulks on a cheap but impractical and inefficient fert.........that would be my take but it may not be yours.........:-)

What i do with my tree's is my way of growing tree's, your way might be totally different. If i see that a tree does not respond to a treatment i change things, if it shows robust growth i will continue. I do not know what your tree's look like but mine looks friggin decent to say the least.

I've organically grown in containers for years and years. Every picture I have on this forum is in pots with nothing but organic material. Got my little buddy's right here to help break down that organic material.

I am one of the crazy organic container growers :) I am very new to anything gardening, so "Ignorance is bliss" can be applied to me LOL.

However, my goal was to grow cool citrus organic fruits for my little boy and I am trying to make it happen.

I have only three container trees and they are doing fine (not counting NZL that I received several weeks ago.). I am using Alaska Fish Fertilizer 5-1-1 once a month and Bush Doctor Microbe Brew (just recently, applied only once).

My oldest one - Clementine - was planted 4.5 months ago and doubled in size.

Will it work in a long run? I hope so. Only time will tell.

Josh, how do you use Terreplenish? Have you tried other microbe solutions and why did you choose this one? Do you buy it on their website or there are other options? I see it is not cheap :)
