Should we read it like tea leaves?

What does the rest of the plant look like? How is it cared for? It does look like a bit of rot at the base.

So I took another picture of the whole plant. I repotted it about 2 weeks ago with the Monterey Dark from Repotme. It was in moss before. Now I water it evert 7 days or so. I got some of that Feed me! mist from Repotme

The media looks very dry. Did you soak it prior to repotting? What is the humidity like in your home?

no, I didn't soak it first. I emailed repotme and they said not to soak it. I thought the medium looked dry too. I don't know what the humidity is like in my house. Is there some kind of meter for that?

Stick the pot with the plant into a bowl of water and soak for a few hours until the bark looks wet.

Bone dry, you will lose the plant if you don't get the bark to hold water. Always soak dry bark for a day or even longer before repotting.

So I soaked the plant for a couple of hours today. I hope that helps. Now that I look at them, this plant Did look dehydrated. Wonder why Repotme told me not to soak the media first?

If it is basically an orchiata mix, then no washing/soaking are the rules. They should also give you another rule; to watch that plant and water much more often than you normally would for at least a month until the plant establishes with new root growth.

I grow in FWC and I like it so far, about one year in.
