Great recommendations and beautiful kitchen. Concrete top and metal bases and or stainless steel base. Good luck

Thank you for the ideas. I had been thinking of white slip covered chairs, but got stuck on whether a dark table or light table would go best. After seeing the photos, I think dark is the way to go.

I like the concrete top idea too, but I have a five year old and husband who put their glasses directly on the table. I read that concrete can be prone to water stains?

I never would have thought of the light colored table runner. Great idea - it really pulls it all together and softens the dark table.

Houzz is the best!

Any suggestions for a new paint color? I’m wanting to go more gray and less beige

I would go medium or light wood, to contrast with the floor a bit more. But it depends on whether you want a more rustic or a more refined feel...

Hi, luv your kitchen, and dining space. Here are a couple ideas. Goodluck!

Thanks everyone for the great ideas and compliments on the kitchen. The kitchen is one of my favorite spaces in the whole house. We have a separate formal dining room, so I am looking for something little bit rustic but still contemporary as I don't want it too look country-ish. (my decorating style seems to fit best in the transitional category). The main thing is for it to be a large family table with comfy chairs (that are easy to clean jelly palm prints off), clean simple lines , and can also be used for doing homework, coloring etc.

A L So sorry! I was remiss in not mentioning how beautiful your kitchen is! Truly! I would simply love to have your kitchen! Thanks for sharing it with us.
