Yes that's the part,but the problems is getting the old one out ? Using a wrench on it only rounds it,was thinking of putting some heat on it. It is a hex nut with a allen in the center. Those repair kits are not available anymore,was hoping to clean up the old one. Hate to lose the /whole thing because of a valve,the motor runs great.

the part is still available. that black pcs should screw out. i would grab it with a vise grip. wiggle it back and forth then screw it out. the replacements are around 20-25.00. how many hours are on the pump?

I finally got it out had to take it out in pieces that black plastic plug had to be the worst design ever,now I have to order the parts and put it back together

sounds like fun. that's why just throwing another pump on is sometimes a better choice. hope that was the issue.

I'll let you know probably should have thrown the hole thing away and went out and rented one for a day

unfortunately those homeowner pw's aren't very sturdy. if you can get it up and spraying for 30.00 you did good. there are accessories you can purchase that will take a little wear and tear off the machine. rotating nozzle, surface cleaners all help speed up jobs.

Ensure to use some Teflon on the unloader valve threads prior to installing new unit lol.

Do you know how much oil goes it the pump ? I guess it should be a heavy gear oil like 90weight,I just want to over fill it.

hi, i don't think you have a way of adding oil to your pump? most of those are sealed (non-serviceable). be careful not get to involved with that pump. replacements are available/cheap. problems that are occurring might be signs of things to come.

You can change or replace the oil after it is removed from the motor,which I did. It is a very poorly design pump,if I get it going for 30 bucks it going on the block to the highest binder. I read somewhere that they recommend changing the oil after so many hours,but they failed to say what kind or how much

Yeah in a pinch you can get away with straight 30 .however with a waterpump application syn 20:50 is a better choice since it also has anti rust additives . Most washers use between 4 to 8 ounces . Karcher uses 4 oz , in any event for a few bucks your up and running for the life of the pump , no other oil changes req,d . P.S. check manual do not overfill .
