Thanks Jan! Can you provide a suggestion or link to some example quartz you think can be better? We haven't settled on one yet.

I prefer the marble-like. Personally, I am not a fan of any speckled counter-top, too busy, but that's me. And side note: not sure if that is your wife in the picture, but love her pants!

I feel like both are poor tonal matches to the flooring, at least. I'd look at more samples, maybe bringing your two pieces with you when you browse.

Thanks Andrea. Yes, that's my wife. She says thanks. acm, I agree the tones/temperatures don't match well, but in person the grey in the marble matches the grey of the floor. What I am worried about is the warmer marble white and the cooler glossy cabinets.

Calcutta. The quartz was too uniform

your white cabs give off a very blue white tone. going w/a warm white like in the calacatta just doesn't jibe.

either go w/a cooler gray tone or find a bright white counter. have you looked at Brittanica by Cambria? It's a lot whiter than the others.
