We have luxury vinyl planks and absolutely LOVE them!

We redid the flooring in our entire house, and we have had them for just over a year. They are modern, feel nice under your feet, and are super easy to maintain. We have an 8 month old puppy that jumps off the bed and skids across the floor stopping her self with her nails, and to this day there isn't a single scratch. She also drips water everywhere after drinking, but you don't have to worry because it's pretty much water proof.

I was dead set against vinyl originally, I only wanted wood, but after a lot of research I realized that wood can become very distressed very fast (especially if you have kids, nieces/nephews, pets, etc.). I think they look great, wayyy better than laminate and affordable. I really love them! I just don't tell people they're vinyl, most people are really snooty about it, they don't understand how far vinyl has come these days!
