Metal candlesticks or lanterns that will look good when rusted. Try giant lanterns in place of your urns and the load the stair step mantel with 7 candlesticks.

Im sorry, i should have been clear. the urns arent there anymore. I had large lantern lights installed where urns are and they are actual electrical lanterns. this pic was from last week. the days have been dreary and overcast so i wasnt able to get a more current pic.

How about two large flowering trees/bushes. I think it needs some of nature's softening on the ledges.

LB, I have two potted cypress trees on side of wood boxes....again this was the only sunny day picture Ive had. The iron piece on mantel sounds nice. can anyone find some and put on mantel pic to see how it would look?? Uve seen on other discussions on houzz some people can photoshop things in. thanks

What about some up lighting and spot lighting to highlight the structure. You can camouflage the lights with placing them in the back of the plants that are on the right and left on the stone.

I think a large metal star of Texas would look great hung from the chimney with an uplight. Across the mantel I'd put low planter or group of 3 planters of ivy or some other hanging plant to soften the hard scape (the uplight could be positioned behind planter). Lol I'm from Cape Cod and I'm telling you about star of Texas! Another thought, family crest or family initial.
