Floating Engineered HW to Tile Transition

Hello everyone,

We're planning out the install of our new floor.
In the entry way the idea is to have tiles, laid in herringbone style.
Now the big question is, how to transition the floating engineered wood floor to the tile. Tile and HW are supposed to be laid at same height (that is the idea for now and let's just pretend that this is the case).
I don't like the look of "covering" transition pieces at all.

Below are two (I hope there are two, it looked funny when I uploaded the pictures) examples of what I like. One of them has a transition piece (the second pic), I believe it is a "Schluter Schiene" (the pic was posted by Creative Tile Eastern CT in other threads before). The other one (first pic) has a caulk transition (I think) and this is the one I would prefer. Even though, I would be happy as long as I don't have to deal with these "cover up" strips!

Is this doable with a floating HW installation or does it need to be nailed/glued?

Thanks a lot in advance!
