Looking for information on a garden statue

I recently acquired this lovely little statue of a boy playing a pan pipe. He stands 3' tall. I have looked all over the web and can't find any information on the maker he is stamped by (Eschbach). I would love to learn anything about him. Especially how old he is. I think he might have been a fountain, but I don't know for sure.

Hello,

I don't know anything about your wonderful statue (aside from agreeing that he was probably part of a fountain).

Being German the word Eschbach got my attention. If you do a google search you will find a plethora of information.

Thanks, Mike. I did a google search and only came up with a company in Vietnam, but it appears they only make terracotta pots. I've emailed them and hope to hear back from them. I also found only one other statue made by them. I'm a super sleuth and have come up nearly empty handed!
