Azalea & Rhododendron

What shall I do? Neglected azaleas

Hi, I moved into a new place and the front yard has 2 azalea bushes in sad shape. Both have blotchy light colored leaves and one has some suspicious insects walking around the underside. Looks like they weren't taken care of at all. Maybe soil is not acidic. What's the prognosis?

The leaves show the typical damage from lace bugs. The nymphs feed by sucking on the underside of the leaves leaving a stippled, mottled appearance. There is nothing that can be done about this at this point in the growing year, but contact your county extension service or state agriculture department for their advice on how to prevent infestation next year.
