Roots on vandas are normal. Exposed roots and vandas needs water every day. I see a few translucent root tips. This is healthy but would like to see more. The active roots will turn a greenish color when fully saturarated with water or fertilizer. Feed weekly. Water daily.

I use a water wand. It is like a shower head on a pipe. My tap water is good. I don't know about your water. Do not dunk multiple plants it in water. If there is any virus it will pass to other plants.

I let the shower run over them for 10 seconds every day. That works great during the winter when they are indoors. In the summer, they stay outdoors and get rained on or watered with the hose.
