Collecting Coke bottles?

Wait Irina...You know what I say: If you're going to collect something, collect it right...

Where found, when, how much, bottle shape, glass thickness, country of origin, coke recipe used, year made, bottle marks. So. All those bottles you'll have will have a story. Record it somewhere. Yup, a coke bottle collection is not as trivial or simple as just needing a light dusting. It's serious stuff.

As a side note of coke trivia...Ever seen the Coke pavillion at Epcot? Scores of formulations depending on the country that sells it. You can drink your way around the world in 30 minutes or less. Just don't expect to see Coke Zero at the fountains!

Still... you wake up any morning - and your treasured vintage Coke bottles... are still in one piece... no rot, no suckers... no mutations... they do not keep you on your toes... you do not need to have a plant sitter... you can spend winters in Florida...

Maybe,,,,but they are taking up valuable "real estate" doncha think? If I get rid of them, and it is not just coke bottles there are many pop bottles from the 50's, I may be able to squeeze in a few more plants??? Rosie

During channel changing time, I ran across a "storage wars" show where people bid at auction for abandoned storage units. One fellow found a bunch of old coke bottles. When he took them to an "alleged" expert, several were found to be worth hundreds of dollars. The majority of his found collection of about 20 bottles was worth between 10 and $20 each. Not bad for some old glass!
