Hello,

We moved into this home and need a central railing between the up and down stairs.

We'd like the wood to match the existing railing that separates the living room from the stairwell. I found the matching parts.

The wood gate up now is a baby gate... we'll be moving couch away from the railing this weekend....

The slant above the lower set of stairs is a closet for a bedroom and thus can't be opened up.

Suggestions on how to treat the weird angle? Same top/newel post? 90 degree corner at the top? Should we wrap center railing down to lower stairs too?

Would love to see if anyone has similar situation. Our home is a raised ranch/split level. Many of our neighbors have similar but they all have metal/iron railing. We'd like to match the existing railing.

Thanks for any input! We've struggled to find a finish carpenter bc it's a small job.
