Experience with a Blomberg Gas Kitchen Range?

We are looking for a simple but powerful 30" gas range and are considering the Capital but recently came across Blomberg ranges with similar functions and looks but that cost significantly less.

Have found very few reviews online for Blomberg gas ranges so hoping to get some input here. Anyone have any experience with them - good or bad?

And if you want to weigh in on the basic Capital range with convection - happy to hear about it and any alternatives you may have considered. Thank you!

Hi. I don't have the range yet. I am ordering the dual fuel Blomberg this week. I just purchased a Blomberg washer and dryer about a month ago. You can really see and feel the quality.

I installed it the day after Thanksgiving. It seems to be a very well made range, but it does have a few shortcomings. 1) The electric oven takes quite long to get up to temperature. 2) Although the two front burners are very powerful, the inner flame doesn't lower when you lower the outer flame. And if you turn off the outer flame then a large saucepan doesn't get very even heat distribution. (Hot spot in the center) Some pros: 1)the door glass never even gets warm to the touch. 2)It has a built in fan and four panes of glass. 3)The broiler is excellent. 4)The range surface is easy to keep clean. Do I regret buying it? No

How do you tell when the oven reaches the desired temperature? I've called Blomberg several times and have not received an answer. Thanks.

I'm sorry to say that most European ranges don't tell you when they reach the set temp. I use an external temp. probe from Thermoworks.com called the "Dot". It works beautifully. Once you know how long it takes to reach your set temp., you'll have that in your head for the next time. Sounds primitive, I know, but otherwise it's a great range.

Anyone have anything to add about these ranges? I’m liking the simple straightforward analog design of the professional style 30” gas range but the reviews are all over the place.

Hello from Calgary. This is a horrible stove. For the last two years I have only used the burners. Originally Bloomberg sent someone out and he changed all the components and still had to come back as he could not fix. Returned and the same problem the oven cannot hold a proper temperature. He returned put at 325 and used his thermostat gun and said perfect. Did not try any other temperature. I went and got a the same thermostat gun to use and 325 is the easiest temperature to get but try 375 and near impossible over an hour trying to move up and down to get this temerature. Someone told me to try Thermoworks Chef Alarm and it showed temperature all over the place. I finally went out and ordered a Wolf counter top oven to use as my oven until I can afford to junk this stove and buy another. I had a Blue Star for 20 years without a single problem . It was just time I thought to replace and sorry that I did .

@HU-41104339 so sorry you’ve had such a bad experience. i read quite a few bad reviews and decided to go with an all gas 36” Forno range instead.

Ive had my 30” Blomberg Gas Range for 5 years and have had constant oven issues with it . When it was installed the oven was not working, repair person had to change something?? Twice, the oven igniter needed to be replaced. I am at the moment waiting again for the repair person to replace the igniter.

I have had my Blomberg gas range for several years, bought it on recommendation and because I liked the clean lines .

What I don’t like: loud oven fans, both to cool outside surfaces and for convection; so there are sometimes 2 fans running even for minutes after oven is off.
