Very good call! That's absolutely Cryptolaemus montrouzieri, a larvae of a mealybug destroyer ladybug. These beneficial insects feed on scale insects in all stages as well as mealybugs.

Would I be able to put one of the larvae on a succulent with mealybugs?

I'd be willing to try. Don't touch the larva with your fingers when moving it...use a couple pieces of paper to shift it.
