Hello,

I'm fairly new to indoor citrus, and just acquired a Improved Meyer Lemon earlier this year. I kept it in the greenhouse and it's done great. It's about two feet tall and bushy and has 8 small green lemons on it.

Now that the cold has hit western Washington, I've brought it inside, about two weeks ago. I have very limited indoor lighting options, and so I managed to find a nice corner where I could get a 13W CFL grow light over it.

It looks fine so far, but my question is whether that will be enough light for it. I'm mainly aiming for it to stay dormant and am not expecting any new growth until next year.

I also recently found another tree at a Lowe's (4 foot tall Impr. Meyer Lemon!) on sale for only $15. My plan is to keep that in the greenhouse, and only bring that into my garage on nights where the temps drop below freezing (no space indoors for it). If it dies, it's no major loss, but I'd like to get it through until next season. Could that work? Or do I need to do more?
