Afflicted with AVOCAD
African Violet Obsessive Compulsive Acquisition Disorder. I know a few people here who have this disease...
Think I may be one of them. Picked up another couple at my club meeting.
I was attracted to this one with the white edge on the flower, Harmony Cosmic Sunshine. Can't wait to see it in full bloom! Couldn't find it in FC2 for the registration number or pic, (I like to track that in my catalog). The web's images are showing this one in dozens of colors. Mine came straight from a visit to the Harmony farm, so the color's got to be the real deal, lol!

I grow AVs for my own collection, though most clubs have objectives to help get you ready to show. I'm not ruling that out if I ever had one show-worthy. However, It seems like a lot of work and you need near perfect conditions to get them ready. I think that's impossible in my home.
Anyway...question...do unregistered, named plants get to enter shows?
B-T-W Rosie, do you have this one on your list? It's definitely on mine! I have to have this plant! (Someday.) Was not my find, it was Heather's little gem...

And thank you Heather. Anne, it looks like it's the luck of the draw when you order Ma's Glass Slipper from Violet Barn, and they kind of let you know that by their pics. VB shows two other GS photos on their page that I would have been disappointed with after seeing the photos of it we posted.
