If you are going to try and keep your baby actively growing, you will need to give it as much natural light as possible and or supplemental lighting. ( Grow lights). Your tree will naturally start to drop its leaves because of the shorter days and it will probably drop most of its leaves. You can reduce watering and try and see it it will last longer than if you forced it by placing it in a darker room and or cooler area.

Plumeria growing in Hawaii will even drop their leaves and go into a semi dormant period. So don't worry if you see this happening. It's just part of the natural process...

In the spring, you will witness the tops of the branches open to reveal these crazy claw looking tips. Again, all normal.

I would suggest you not try to grow it as a houseplant year-round. It would benefit greatly by going outdoors in summer. But I do not know where you live. If you live Fairbanks, Alaska, that may not work.
