the original version is too busy for the counter. Go with something simple..My friend has a nice glass tile ( a gray green) and it looks great. You can go with a cream gray one, similar to your paint

Mrs. Moose, flooring aside, do you feel particularly attracted to either the backsplash or the granite? I think the advice above - one bossy element per room - is spot on, and I'd like to point out that the bossy element doesn't have to be the countertop. Do you love the backsplash tile? It's absolutely acceptable to make it the star of your show.

So, first decide the bossy element, then let it drive the rest of your choices :)

I really like your tile choice - it's warm and interesting. I'd let it be the star and choose a durable quartz countertop like this one from Caesar stone (color is raw concrete):

With this combination, you could do either the Montagna Rustic Bay (my first choice) or the Westford Gray (works, but it's a big, hard to change design element that runs the risk of looking dated when the gray trend dies).

I also feel the need to add the "monitors distort color, make sure you look at all the elements together in your space" disclaimer. Especially important in this case because it's really hard to get a true impression of glass tile on a screen. Ideally, you'd get or make a grouted sample board to make sure you like the tile. An extra step but worth it.

I agree the tile and the granite just fight eachother. I am trying to figure out how this will all be done in the next 12 days . What flooring do you have in the rooms next to the kitchen if they are real wood I would not do faux wood in the kitchen but rather use the same wood for the kitchen floor. BTW this is not a modest reno , has the demolition already been done , the electrical brought up to code ?I like the backsplash but not in a kitchen go with something simple .If you want tile for those areas choose a simple 12 x 24 porcelain tile that works with colors you have . Add warmth with some accessories or a huge wood cutting board.

It depends on the tile you want to use. With the dark cabinets, I would still use a light back splash
