Probably too late for you to read beesneeds. But as a general rule, bearded iris are not reduced by iris growers. Leftovers are replanted. Some garden catalogs that have beardeds, bulbs, etc. do have reductions on leftover stock. I've never bought beardeds from them so don't know who or when.

Are your gift certificates for a specific store? I'm confused there.

Not too late irisgal. I don't have any gift certificates yet- it's habit for the adults in our family to give each other gc's or fill some wishlists from a specific place. Makes it easier to get what we want and still be surprised by what we got. The family is a bunch of cooks, brewers, crafters... and I'm the gardener. The rule is we can't put something on our list that we would ordinarily purchase anyway.

Since I'm into the gardens, I usually have a couple seed company wishlists and a few companies for gc wishes. This year I decided I wanted some fruits and nuts, hellebores and irises on the list, so I've started checking around early for what's to be had for those. I have several bearded and siberian irises, and some blackberry/candy lillys currently, but now I'm starting to look for some more specific colors to go with what I currently have, and I've pretty much tapped out all the local sources by now.. so time to go to the iris catalogs.

I didn't realize iris sellers don't usually have sales like a lot of other sellers do. It's good to know. Thanks.

Check out https://www.schreinersgardens.com/.   They do hold a clearance sale at the end of the shipping season..usually around August.. Please shop reliable iris sellers and avoid places like Brecks..

Hey beesneeds, if you're interested in trading some candy lily for iris please message me. I divided several clumps of iris last year, can probably send at least a few rhizomes each of 4 or 5 different iris varieties.
