Door stain and trim detail

I love the door color and trim detail. Could you please tell me how this was done? I thinking it was probably stained and some clear coat? As for the door jamb/trim detail. Is the door custom? Looks to be 6 1/2" thick. Is that about right? Was it installed prior to Sheetrock?

Hi. It is a hand rubbed graphite finish with a clear coat over a standard solid core birch door. The door is ordered with jamb extensions that project 3/4" beyond finish. The door frames are installed before sheetrock.

where did you order your doors from? and you mentioned the baseboards were 1x3 but they are set back from the front edge of the 3/4" jamb extension. one of the dims seems off. love the look so i'm curious. thanks.

Hi. The baseboards are 1/2 x 3 and set back 1/4" from the jamb. The doors were ordered by the Contractor, and we're not sure who their vendor was. Thanks for your interest.

This is one of my favorite minimalist door surround treatment. Due to the jamb 3/4" protrusion from the drywall and the door appearing to be set about flush to the jamb, are the door hinges mounted to the jamb and not to the wall studs? Thanks.

Hi,

Yes the hinges and strike are mortised and screwed into the frame itself.

Using shallower screws so as not to go through the frame.
