Yes you can straighten it up, but tie it loosely to your support stake like this, leave it some room to sway in the wind. As it grows stronger move the ties lower down the stake until it can support itself and have a nice straight trunk.

It will end up looking like this in a few years.

Yes, it could use some staking because you are top heavy. I had the same problem with one of my trees. Somebody suggested using the legs of pantyhose because it was stretchy and soft. Luckily I had some. If you don't have pantyhose, strips of cloth from an old t-shirt probably would work too. This method only needed a few months to work for me.

Or you can simply snip back any growth in your lopsided direction, which will encourage growth in your preferred direction.
