I’ve certainly sent cuttings to a few here. I am not going to trim now unless I have no choice, but when I do, I’ll be happy to share.

I do not mind sending seeds but think most people here would not want them because they take so long to mature whereas with a cutting you can have fruit very soon.

I agree wholeheartedly. There are some who like doing it anyway. Me, I am too old (57) to do wait. I want fruit as of yesterday.

I got some cuttings this year and planning to pay it forward coming spring.

Laura the persian lost all leafs but now is putting out a lot of flower buds. Kieffer did hold on to lots of leafs but no flower buds yet. Both look like they rooted :)

That is great Susanne!! Great success! I am trying to root three persian lime cuttings because a big branch broke off him when my dog knocked him over. I am not sure yet but the stems are all green. If they take, I am happy to share with someone here!

Laura if you prune your Rangpur, or your variegated BH, would love do an exchange, maybe Meiwa if I get it grafted successful :) or anything else you would want to add. Maybe Trovita?? I think that and meiwa is the only one you don't have yet ;). Oh, and limone rosso seedlings. They grow very nicely.

Be careful who you share with... even seeds; the USDA might come knock on your door. In the case of Meyers, if you plant a Meyer seed, you will likely not get a Meyer tree.

I would not send any citrus material to a citrus growing state. We northern people are safe to trade.

I love the idea of gifts/trades. I try and root all of my cuttings I make off of my trees and plan to gift/trade any that make it to whomever wants them. Unfortunately since I am a fan of bushy trees I haven't have the need to trim much yet. I only have one cutting that I believe is trying to make it still (the others have died) and its a Minneola cutting I took in June. It dropped all its leaves slowly but its stem is still going strong and green. I want to try some air layering as it seems to have a higher success rate. I joined a garden society this week and plan on taking some grafting classes in the spring so hopefully I will be able to successfully graft something someday. If that ends up being the case Laura I second the request for the variegated BH cutting if you ever have any to spare, since its such a rare tree and Logees doesn't plan on restocking it I don't know how else to track one down. I am also happy to send anyone cuttings of my trees when I take them, I assume I'll need to take some in the spring/summer.
