sectionals are rarely a good idea, and the tv over such a high fp is never a good idea.

odd, could have sworn I said that. oh well, some console ideas?

Do you mean one of those big puffy ones, please don't do it.

Maybe 2 sofas in a sectional configuration with an end table in between them. I'd go with a transitional sofa.

Try a leather chaise sofa for a sectional feeling without losing all the square footage. Credenza 25% wider than your TV on the wall left of the FP. Remember, ceiling light is just ambient - turn it off or dim it once you've gotten into the room in the dark. Table and floor lamps (task lighting) and accent lights (picture lights, uplights under plants, just pretty "jewelry" lights) should take over at that point.

It just seems like that sectional will take up so much space. How many people do you need to seat? It looks like this is also a music room, or will it only be a living room?

How many in your regular TV-watching gang? Remember when you have guests it is difficult to have conversation with everyone lined up on a big sectional. With the smaller style sofa you'll be able to add a pair of swivel armchairs on the end of the arrangement opposite the window. Will be much more friendly than just one big hulking sofa. Lots of styles and colors to choose from.
