Calamagrostis brachytricha 'Stipa'?

I have a grass that came to me with the label Calamagrostis brachytricha 'Stipa' some years ago, but the internet seems to indicate no such cultivar. Bluestem site indicates that Calamagrostis brachytricha and Stipa brachytricha are the same plant. My Ornamental Grass Encyclopedia does not provide any clue. Is Calamagrostis brachytricha used to be classified Stipa brachytricha?

The genus Stipa underwent taxonomic revision 15-20 years ago and all the new world species were reclassified. Stipa brachytricha is now Calamagrostis brachytricha although you will often still find it listed under the old name.
