Recently got an apartment, the condo has a very open space, which is good and bad, now I need to work out the layout of my living, dining area.

Here is the thing, I really don't the idea of having to put the TV on top of the fireplace. Don't people get sour neck after binge-watching a whole night of TV? :) ?! But my husband wants to dominate the entire living room and have the TV and fireplace as the single focus point.

I made videos of two new layouts, would really appreciate comments on the layouts. What can I do to make it better? Thanks!!
