My lawn has lots of crabgrasss throughout. I have applied Roundup to larger areas to kill it, then putting down grass seed in the bare spots. I understand next spring I should apply a preemergent for crabgrass. So, can someone tell me what "spring" means. I am in northern California and my spring is different than, say, North Dakota's spring. Is there a more helpful term for spring, such as temperatures?
